JeetBot for Stream Deck — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy is provided by JeetBot, the operator of jeetbot.cc, which publishes the JeetBot plugin for Elgato Stream Deck (plugin ID cc.jeetbot.streamdeck). It supplements the JeetBot Terms of Service, including its User Data and Privacy Policy section, which covers the data JeetBot holds about your account. This policy explains how the plugin handles information when you use it to control JeetBot text-to-speech (TTS) on your channel. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the JeetBot team at support@jeetbot.cc.
Information we process and why
Connecting your JeetBot account. When you click Connect, the plugin requests a one-time code from JeetBot and opens jeetbot.cc/oauth/device in your browser. You approve the connection there, on the JeetBot website; the plugin never sees your password. After you approve, the plugin receives an access token and a refresh token limited to two permissions: profile:read, used to show which JeetBot account is connected, and tts:control, used to control TTS on your own channel. The plugin then loads your JeetBot login to display it in the key settings.
TTS controls. When you press a key, the plugin sends the corresponding command to JeetBot: turn TTS on or off, pause or resume, skip the current message, skip all messages, or replay a message. Requests carry your access token. While a key that shows TTS state is on screen, the plugin reads your channel's TTS status (on or off, paused, the current message identifier, and the queue size) about every 15 seconds and after each key press.
Speak with voice. This key sends the text you typed into the key settings, and the voice you selected (if any), to JeetBot. To show the voice choices, the key settings load your channel's list of available voices from JeetBot. JeetBot processes the text like any other TTS message on your channel: it passes through your channel's TTS filters, counts against your channel's TTS limits, and is spoken on your stream, where your viewers can hear it. Do not put information in a preset text that you do not want spoken on stream.
Information stored on your computer. The plugin keeps its settings in the Stream Deck application's plugin settings on your computer: the access and refresh tokens with the access token's expiry time, your JeetBot login, and an optional API address override (used only if set manually; there is no setting for it in the interface). For each Speak with voice key, it stores the preset text and the selected voice. Stream Deck saves these settings on disk; the plugin does not add its own encryption, so anyone with access to your computer account may be able to read them.
Local logs. The plugin writes log files to its folder on your computer. They record events such as failed requests and error codes returned by JeetBot. Tokens are not written to these logs. The plugin does not upload its logs; we receive them only if you send them to us.
Network connections and support. JeetBot servers receive the network information necessary to handle requests, including the connecting IP address. When you contact support, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you send us to investigate and respond to your request.
Services that receive information
- JeetBot (apiv2.jeetbot.cc): the connection and token requests, account information requests, TTS commands and status requests, preset texts, voice selections, and voice list requests described above. Connection approval happens on jeetbot.cc in your browser.
The plugin contacts no other services. It contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or third-party SDKs, and its key settings panels load no external scripts. The Stream Deck application itself is provided by Elgato, and Elgato's handling of information is described in Elgato's own privacy policy.
Storage and deletion
Disconnect. Clicking Disconnect in the plugin deletes the stored tokens and your JeetBot login from the plugin settings and asks JeetBot to revoke the refresh token. If your computer is offline at that moment, the revocation may not reach JeetBot; you can revoke access from the dashboard as described below.
Revoke access from JeetBot. You can revoke the plugin's access at any time on the Connected apps page of the JeetBot dashboard (jeetbot.cc/dashboard/connected-apps). After that the plugin can no longer control your channel until you connect it again.
Uninstall. Removing the plugin from Stream Deck removes its local settings, including the stored tokens and preset texts. Uninstalling does not by itself revoke access on JeetBot's side, so click Disconnect first or revoke access from the dashboard. Older log files are replaced automatically, and you can delete the plugin's log files at any time.
Data held by JeetBot. Messages sent with Speak with voice and other information associated with your JeetBot account are handled under the JeetBot Terms of Service. To request deletion of your JeetBot account data, email support@jeetbot.cc and include your JeetBot login. Do not send passwords or tokens. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns your data. As set out in the Terms, data is deleted within 30 calendar days unless the law requires otherwise. You may also request access to or correction of information we hold about you at the same address.
Your choices
You decide whether to connect the plugin, which keys to place, and what text each Speak with voice key sends. You can disconnect the plugin, revoke its access from the JeetBot dashboard, or remove it from Stream Deck at any time. The keys need a connection to JeetBot to work and will not function without the processing described above.
Limits on use and policy updates
Our use of information from the plugin is limited to providing the disclosed plugin features and their related operation, security, and support. We do not sell this information or use it for personalized advertising.
We may update this policy when the plugin or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions about this policy or your information, email support@jeetbot.cc.
