Twitch Enhanced Viewer — Privacy Policy

This policy is provided by JeetBot, the operator of jeetbot.cc, which publishes the Twitch Enhanced Viewer (TEV) browser extension. It supplements the JeetBot Terms of Service. This policy explains how TEV handles information when you use its playback, chat, appearance, image-sharing, and music-recognition features. Information we process and why

Playback and Twitch integration. The extension processes the channel or video you are watching, playback requests, and technical identifiers needed to load streams. Playback services receive playlist URLs, playback tokens and signatures, and device identifiers. Your Twitch account authentication token is used for requests to Twitch, such as checking your session and loading account-specific features. Ad blocking for Twitch streams is part of the playback features: it works through the playback requests described in this section, and the extension keeps local ad-blocking counters in your browser without sending them as analytics.

Chat features and account settings. The extension processes Twitch user and channel identifiers, usernames, and relevant chat information to display emotes, badges, custom appearances, and JeetBot command suggestions. Requests for account-specific features may include service-session credentials, your selected settings, and subscription information. Some supporting requests happen automatically when you open or switch channels; hiding a visual feature does not necessarily stop its supporting requests.

Images you choose to upload. When you select, paste, or drop an image into an upload feature, the image-hosting service receives the file, its filename and type, and information needed to associate the upload with your session and visibility choice. Files may contain embedded metadata. Public uploads may also be associated with your username. The extension can insert a link to the uploaded image into the chat input; it does not automatically send that chat message. Anyone you share an image link with may be able to access or copy the image.

Music recognition. When you request song identification, the extension briefly processes audio from the current stream in your browser and sends an audio fingerprint to Shazam. The recognition feature does not record your microphone or upload the raw audio recording. Recognition requests also contain technical information such as timestamps and temporary request identifiers.

Browser storage. The extension stores preferences, favorites, recently used emotes, cached feature data, service-session information, and local statistics needed for its features. Some preferences use browser synchronization when available.

Network connections and support. Services contacted by the extension receive the network information necessary to handle requests, including the connecting IP address. If a request passes through a proxy, the destination may see the proxy's address. When you contact support, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you send us to investigate and respond to your request.

Services that receive information

Information is sent to the services needed to provide the relevant feature:

• Twitch: account authentication, channel and playback requests, and Twitch content.
• JeetBot services: command suggestions, appearance settings, service accounts, configuration, and playback support.
• Playback proxies on jeetbot.cc and morphilina.me: stream playlist requests and the playback information described above.
• Shazam: audio fingerprints and recognition-request information when you request song identification.
• 7TV and BetterTTV: emote catalogs, relevant user, channel or emote-set identifiers, and emote images. Some requests pass through an extension service or proxy.
• The image-hosting service at img.drisnya.online: uploaded files, upload-session information, and requests to retrieve images or upload history.
• Content delivery services used by these features: requests for images, avatars, emotes, and other displayed media.
• Your browser's synchronization service: settings stored using browser sync, where enabled.

Third-party services handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies. The extension's local processing and deletion controls do not erase information already received by another service.

Storage and deletion

Uploaded images are stored for 30 days unless you delete them earlier. You can delete your uploaded images directly on the image-hosting website. You can also request deletion by emailing support@jeetbot.cc. If you contact support, include the image link and enough information for us to identify your upload. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns your data. Deleting a hosted image does not remove copies other people have already saved.

Audio used to generate a music-recognition fingerprint is processed temporarily in the browser and is not saved by the extension as an audio recording. Shazam's handling of the submitted fingerprint is governed by its own policy.

Browser-stored preferences, caches, and local statistics remain until cleared, replaced, or removed by the relevant feature or browser. Signing out clears the local service session but does not by itself delete server-side data. Browser-synchronized settings are also subject to your browser account's controls.

For deletion of service-account information or other data associated with your use of the extension, contact support@jeetbot.cc. You may also request access to or correction of information we hold about you at the same address. Removing the extension stops its future operation but does not automatically delete uploaded images or information held by external services.

Your choices

You can manage available features in the extension settings and choose whether to use image uploads or request music recognition. You can sign out of connected extension services, manage browser synchronization, or disable or remove the extension. Some features require network requests and will not work without the corresponding data processing.

Limits on use and policy updates

Our use of user data is limited to providing the disclosed extension features and their related operation, security, and support. We do not sell extension user data or use it for personalized advertising. Our handling of extension user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
