Twitch Enhanced Viewer — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy is provided by JeetBot, the operator of jeetbot.cc, which publishes the Twitch Enhanced Viewer (TEV) browser extension. It supplements the JeetBot Terms of Service. This policy explains how TEV handles information when you use its playback, Twitch account connection, chat, appearance, image-sharing, and music-recognition features. The services on jeetbot.cc and hishi.icu described below are operated by JeetBot. Links and settings that still use the former JeetBot addresses on drisnya.online and morphilina.me are handled through the corresponding hishi.icu services. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the JeetBot team at support@jeetbot.cc.

Information we process and why

Your Twitch session. While you browse twitch.tv, the extension reads the Twitch authentication token that the Twitch website itself sends with its requests. The extension keeps this token in memory and uses it only for requests to Twitch (gql.twitch.tv, api.twitch.tv, and id.twitch.tv), such as checking your session, looking up Twitch user IDs (yours and those of chat participants), loading account-specific features, and the ad blocking described below. This token is not sent to JeetBot services: the extension removes your Twitch authorization header, cookies, and OAuth parameters (such as auth, oauth_token, access_token, and refresh_token) from requests that pass through its playback servers.

High-quality playback through JeetBot servers. High-quality playback is enabled by default. With it on, the extension routes Twitch stream playlist requests through the JeetBot playback server selected in the extension settings (a default JeetBot server unless you choose another). If the selected server is no longer in the extension's server list, the extension switches to the first server in the list. All servers in the list run on jeetbot.cc or hishi.icu; when you open the extension's settings, it checks the availability of each listed server. The playback server receives the playlist request, which includes the channel or video being watched, the playback token and signature that Twitch issued for your session, Twitch's device identifier for your browser, and other playback parameters. For channels on the regional-restrictions list (it comes pre-filled with several channels, and you can add or remove channels in the proxy settings), playlist requests go to a dedicated JeetBot server (currently proxymin.jeetbot.cc, with proxy.hishi.icu as a fallback) and are normally sent with the playback token and signature removed. You can turn high-quality playback off or choose another server in the extension settings.

Ad blocking. Ad blocking for Twitch streams is part of the playback features. The extension blocks requests to known advertising domains on twitch.tv and works through the playback requests described above. To let the Twitch player skip ad breaks, the extension may send ad-playback status events to Twitch using your Twitch session. These events go only to Twitch. The extension keeps local ad-blocking counters in your browser without sending them as analytics.

Optional Twitch account connection. In the proxy settings you can connect your Twitch account so that the selected playback server can load streams in higher quality for you. This happens only after you start the connection in the extension and confirm it by entering the displayed code on Twitch. Authorization uses Twitch's device-code sign-in with the client ID of the “Twitch for TV” application rather than a separate JeetBot application, so the Twitch authorization page and your Twitch connections list show “Twitch for TV”. The extension requests no permission scopes (an empty scope list). Twitch then issues an access token and a refresh token. Both are stored in the extension's browser storage, encrypted with a non-extractable key that stays in your browser. While the account is connected, high-quality playback is on, and a compatible server is selected, the extension encrypts the access token with that server's public key and attaches it to the stream playlist requests sent to that server. The playback server decrypts the token and uses it only to request the stream playlist from Twitch in the selected quality. The refresh token is sent only to Twitch, to renew the access token.

Signing in to JeetBot services. Image uploads, custom badges, and nickname styles require signing in with Twitch through img.hishi.icu or ext-styles.hishi.icu. This sign-in is separate from the Twitch account connection above: Twitch authorization happens on the JeetBot service, which learns your Twitch username and account ID and issues service sessions that the extension stores in its local browser storage. The extension then loads your Twitch avatar from Twitch. Signing in to the image service also turns on image uploads.

Chat features and account settings. The extension processes Twitch user and channel identifiers, usernames, and relevant chat information to display emotes, badges, custom appearances, and JeetBot command and text-to-speech suggestions. Your Twitch user ID is sent to JeetBot services to load your personal 7TV emotes (through ext-03.jeetbot.cc) and, together with the current channel name, to load command suggestions (api.jeetbot.cc). The Twitch user IDs of people in the chat you are viewing and the IDs of the channels you open are sent to ext-styles.hishi.icu to load their custom appearances. Requests for account-specific features may include service-session credentials, your selected settings, and subscription information. These supporting requests happen automatically when you open or switch channels; hiding a visual feature does not necessarily stop them.

Content loaded automatically from chat. When a chat message contains a link to an image post on img.hishi.icu (or its former address, img.drisnya.online), the extension automatically requests the post details and preview image from JeetBot servers on hishi.icu to show an inline preview. Custom appearances of other users, such as badge images and nickname textures, load automatically from the image addresses provided by the JeetBot appearance service when those users appear in chat; nickname textures load only from pic.hishi.icu.

Emotes. Requests to the 7TV API, which include channel IDs, your Twitch user ID, and emote-set IDs, always go through ext-03.jeetbot.cc; only the 7TV live-updates connection (events.7tv.io), which receives emote-set IDs, connects to 7TV directly. While the emote proxy setting is on (it is on by default), 7TV and BetterTTV emote images on Twitch pages are also routed through ext-03.jeetbot.cc. This includes 7TV images and 7TV API requests made by other scripts or extensions on twitch.tv. With the setting off, emote images load directly from 7TV, BetterTTV, or Twitch.

Images you choose to upload. While image uploads are on, selecting an image with the upload button, or pasting or dropping an image into the Twitch chat box, immediately uploads it to img.hishi.icu. The image-hosting service receives the file, its filename and type, and information needed to associate the upload with your session and visibility choice. Files may contain embedded metadata. Public uploads may also be associated with your username. The extension can insert a link to the uploaded image into the chat input; it does not automatically send that chat message. Anyone you share an image link with may be able to access or copy the image.

Badges and nickname styles you set. If you upload a custom badge or save a custom nickname style, the image or style settings, including any texture image you upload, are sent to ext-styles.hishi.icu, stored on JeetBot servers on hishi.icu, and associated with your Twitch account. They are shown publicly to other extension users wherever your name appears in chat.

Music recognition. When you request song identification, the extension briefly processes audio from the current stream in your browser and sends an audio fingerprint to Shazam. The recognition feature does not record your microphone or upload the raw audio recording. Recognition requests also contain technical information such as timestamps and temporary request identifiers.

Release notes. After the extension updates, it may request the release notes for the new version from hishi.icu. This request contains the extension version number and is sent without cookies.

Browser storage. The extension stores preferences, favorites, recently used emotes, cached feature data, service-session information, Twitch's device identifier, the encrypted Twitch account tokens described above (if you connected an account), and local statistics needed for its features. Some preferences use browser synchronization when available; tokens and service sessions are not synchronized.

Network connections and support. Services contacted by the extension receive the network information necessary to handle requests, including the connecting IP address. If a request passes through a proxy, the destination may see the proxy's address. When you contact support, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you send us to investigate and respond to your request.

Services that receive information

Information is sent to the services needed to provide the relevant feature:

  • Twitch: requests made with your Twitch session, channel and playback requests, ad-playback status events, Twitch account connection and token renewal, and Twitch content.
  • JeetBot playback servers on jeetbot.cc and hishi.icu: stream playlist requests and the playback information described above and, if you connected a Twitch account, your encrypted Twitch access token.
  • JeetBot services on jeetbot.cc (api.jeetbot.cc, ext-03.jeetbot.cc): command and text-to-speech suggestions and the emote proxy.
  • JeetBot services on hishi.icu (ext-styles.hishi.icu, img.hishi.icu, pic.hishi.icu, hishi.icu): custom appearances, badges, styles and textures, service accounts, configuration, the playback server list, uploaded files, upload-session information, requests for images, previews, or upload history, and release-note requests.
  • Shazam: audio fingerprints and recognition-request information when you request song identification.
  • 7TV and BetterTTV: emote catalogs, relevant user, channel or emote-set identifiers, and emote images. 7TV API requests, and emote images while the emote proxy is on, pass through ext-03.jeetbot.cc.
  • Content delivery services and image addresses used by these features: requests for images, avatars, emotes, nickname textures, and other displayed media.
  • Your browser's synchronization service: settings stored using browser sync, where enabled.

Third-party services handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies. The extension's local processing and deletion controls do not erase information already received by another service.

Storage and deletion

Uploaded images are stored for 30 days unless you delete them earlier. You can delete your uploaded images directly on the image-hosting website. You can also request deletion by emailing support@jeetbot.cc. If you contact support, include the image link and enough information for us to identify your upload. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns your data. Deleting a hosted image does not remove copies other people have already saved.

Disconnecting a Twitch account. Disconnecting the account in the extension asks Twitch to revoke the access token, deletes the stored Twitch tokens from your browser, and stops attaching the token to playback requests. If the revocation request fails, for example because you are offline, the access token stays valid until it expires. You can also disconnect “Twitch for TV” in your Twitch settings under Connections. If revocation fails, the proxy settings show a “Twitch for TV disconnection guide” button that opens that page with instructions. Disconnecting “Twitch for TV” there may also sign you out of other devices that use the Twitch for TV app.

Audio used to generate a music-recognition fingerprint is processed temporarily in the browser and is not saved by the extension as an audio recording. Shazam's handling of the submitted fingerprint is governed by its own policy.

Browser-stored preferences, caches, and local statistics remain until cleared, replaced, or removed by the relevant feature or browser. Signing out clears the local service session but does not by itself delete server-side data. Browser-synchronized settings are also subject to your browser account's controls.

For deletion of service-account information, custom badges and styles, or other data associated with your use of the extension, contact support@jeetbot.cc. You may also request access to or correction of information we hold about you at the same address. Removing the extension stops its future operation but does not automatically delete uploaded images, revoke Twitch authorizations, or remove information held by external services.

Your choices

You can manage available features in the extension settings, including turning off high-quality playback through JeetBot servers, choosing a different playback server, editing the regional-restrictions channel list, turning off the emote proxy, turning off image uploads, and connecting or disconnecting a Twitch account. You choose whether to use image uploads, custom badges and styles, or music recognition. You can sign out of connected extension services, manage browser synchronization, or disable or remove the extension. Some features require network requests and will not work without the corresponding data processing.

Limits on use and policy updates

Our use of user data is limited to providing the disclosed extension features and their related operation, security, and support. We do not sell extension user data or use it for personalized advertising. Our handling of extension user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We may update this policy when the extension or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions about this policy or your information, email support@jeetbot.cc.
